If they had shared their disappointment I would have helped in many possible ways: offering a free stay, re-cleaning the room, upgrading room if possible, helping with finding another hotel. However, I wasn't really sure about what was going on and on top of that I was super busy. Again, our guests didn't leave any feedback when they were here! And again we would have offered a compensation! I was the hotelier and I was so sorry that they were leaving. Although occasional, when this happens our personnel takes care of eliminating them and re-cleaning the room. Insects and ants: it happens that ants and other insects go in the rooms. However, our rooms are fresh and temperature in Positano is not so high, meaning that air conditioning is not necessary. Maybe we were in the process of replacing a toilet seat at that time? The guests didn't leave any feedback on that when they were here so we were not able to help! We would have offered any form of compensation! Air conditioning: rooms don't have air conditioning but there is an electric fan provided. Moreover, all our rooms have a private bathroom and all toilets have a toilet seat. I don't remember which room our guest is talking about but we can assure that also our rooms without a private terrace are fantastic! Not only those with a private terrace.
